11/3/2023 0 Comments Wurlitzer orbit synthesizer organ![]() I've rescued 12 organs this year already to fix and equip my studios or give to students. Could be the basis of a nice speaker cabinet for the Hammond RT-2 I will be restoring for my wife's studio. Otherwise what will probably happen is me or someone steals the speakers, Leslie, power supply, amps, useful switches, fuse holders, etc, and junk the rest. If there is someone within driving distance of Chilliwack Lake Road and wants a flaky Wurlitzer 950 they can have it. I'm sure a lot more organs would be saved if these were freely available! Plus the organ is a half hour away, heavy, bulky, no one I know wants it and the lady would rather take a chainsaw to it if it costs her anything. I don't have a service manual and one doesn't seem freely available. The noise level increases with the volume slider of the Orbit but does not disappear when the slider is off.īut I was hoping for an easy, commonly known fix. I have a scope and a good multimeter and would probably have no problem with a little help from the kind souls here. ![]() From now on I'll test the parts on organs in likely areas by tickling parts and wires. ![]() How can they be this delicate? No wonder Keith Emerson played a Hammond.
